SYNOPSIS 

Couple Dancing is a celebration of social dancing, recreating a ballroom scenario, where a group of dancers enjoy loud music and dance two by two. While keeping the communication through the touch of hands, Couple Dancing by David Zambrano, assisted by Milan Herich, breaks several other codes of traditional social dances and gender roles. This enables the use of several levels: from all the way up, to all the way down to the floor. Couple dancing is the result of the Salsa meeting Passing Through and Flying Low.

BIO 

For over 25 years, David Zambrano (Venezuela) has been a monumental figure in the international dance community, and his passion for cultural exchange continues to influence his work. Teaching and performing internationally, Zambrano is an ambassador and liaison across many borders, bringing together artists from all over the planet for his projects. An inspiring teacher, thrilling interpreter and innovative choreographer, Zambrano has contributed generously to the dance field.

Milan (Slovakia) is in continuous collaboration with David Zambrano as an assistant in his workshops and as interpreter in many of his pieces. Milan graduated from Banska Bystrica Dance Conservatory. Later, Milan continuous training at P.A.R.T.S. (Belgium). He has worked with different choreographers and companies such as Ultima Vez - Wim Vandekeybus and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. He is co-founder of the dance collective Les SlovaKs.
