SADÉ ALLEYNE, LUCIJA ROMANOVA & MARION SPARBER

From performer to creator

  • Date: 14/07
  • Time: 19:00 - 20:00
  • Duration: 1 h.

These three creators have navigated different waters within the performing arts. They started their careers by interpreting other creators’ works, as many of us do. After some time, they decided to change paths and become creators themselves.

Sadé Alleyne founded Alleyne Dance together with Kristina Alleyne in 2014 and the company performs their own works and disseminates their practice through workshops or online training.

Lucija Romanova has also worked for different companies as an interpreter and has embarked into creating her own work from 2020 on, working currently on a multidisciplinary piece with musician Alex Paton.

Marion Sparber founded Shared Levitation together with Alan Fuentes Guerra in 2018, and have been sharing their practice and creations internationally since.

The three female-identifying creators will talk about their experience and offer a space for artists who are in the process of shifting from interpreters to creators or consider it an opportunity for their future.

The conference will be in English.
